What Are Your Mountains?

Guess who never lied?
Jesus.
And God.

Guess what Jesus said?
"Our faith can move mountains."

What!?!?!?!

I will probably write about my faith a lot.  My eyes and my heart are begin opened almost every single day about my own faith...and often times God is showing me how small and menial my faith is.  Yep, He's not just ripping off the bandaid in one swift move, He's removing it meticulously and as slowly as He possibly can so that I really get the message.  It appears too that this bandaid may have originally been placed somewhere on my legs...in the winter...if you see where I'm going with this...

I was in the shower a few weeks ago, where many profound things happen.  I don't know if it's because I am alone, and for the most part, it's quiet, but very clearly I had a vision of a mountain.  And then this is the prayer I repeated as I washed, rinsed, and repeated:

LORD - You Word says that by faith we can move mountains.  Reveal to us today what our mountains are.  What seems impossible to move or change?  Relationships, circumstances, callings.  Help us remember that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move the mountains.

Whoa!  See, I don't think my faith could move a mountain.  But it should.  What about you?

Father - Thank you, first and foremost, for loving me so much that you offered your one and only Son to be broken and suffer and spill his sacrificial blood so that I can be made new.  Help me to move beyond my "facts" and live only in the Truth.  Thank you for gathering us, those who are stuck wandering in the wilderness.  We are ready to watch you move.  Break down the walls that seem impossible.  You are our Almighty God who moves in Power.  You give strength to the weary and you increase the power of the weak.  You are the Everlasting God - the Creator of all things.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I lift this day up to you, LORD.  Come and meet with us.  Break us and speak to us.  Help us to know where we are to go - walking in obedience to your Will - your perfect and good Will.
