From time to time I will refer to the Non-Profit that I am involved in. House of Light is a group of moms who collect new and gently used furniture and household items that we then donate to families, mostly single moms, who are reentering society after spending time in a homeless shelter. Our goal is to empower these families as they are working hard to change the trajectory of their lives and the lives of their children. By furnishing their homes, we are able to help these women feel a sense of dignity and worth. Many of these houses are bare when we get there.
