Originally titled God's Chicks, this blog was started in 2008 after I felt God leading me to reach out to women.  I used Holly Wagner's book God Chicks as the framework for the original blog.

God Chicks are committed to becoming women of God.

The verse I based the blog on was Romans 12:2.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing, and perfect will.

In 2014, after basically abandoning the site for several years, I began to study Lysa Terkeurst's The Best Yes.  She challenged me not only to find time for my Best Yes, but also to dig deep and find out what my "soul thing" was.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but once again God reaffirmed to me that I needed to be reaching out to women.

But I had changed.  I wasn't the same as I was in 2008.  And so I changed the blog.  I gave it a new title and used a new verse.

He has showed you, O (wo)man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

It was time for a change and change was good!
