I love to study and learn things, and then share what I have learned. I don't know where this passion and desire was in high school when I really could have used a dose of love for learning, but I started to see small sprouts of it in college, shortly after I gave my life to Christ. But, although I am full of all kinds of useless knowledge, my true passion lies in the pages of the Bible. It is amazing to me how I can read the same words over and over again and continue to learn. I love to cross-reference passages in the pages of God's Word! I am in awe of the ways the Old Testament and New Testament intersect seamlessly. But more than anything, I am humbled that God chooses to speak to me...a plain old nobody. And how, throughout His Book, He chooses the plain old nobodies time after time. Sometimes they don't even have names. But they are somebodies to God, just as I am somebody. We all are. And He knows us, chooses us, and uses us in His Story.
I am currently involved in a She Reads Truth Summer Bible Study called Women In the Word. It is incredible to see how these women were used in powerful ways in God's Story - and how much I can relate to so many of their stories. I invite you to join me and the She Reads Truth community as we read and relate to these women in the Bible. I also invite you to join me as I journey with the women. I will not go in the same order that She Reads Truth is, but will highlight many of the same women.
So, make these words from Psalms your prayer today. Ask God to show you His ways and teach you His paths and guide you in His truths.
Father, as we navigate through Your Word and the precious women you have delicately yet deliberately placed in Your Word, open our eyes and lead us in Your Truth and teach us Your Paths and make us to know Your Ways. There are so many treasures tucked into Your Word...help us to really see them, know them, understand them, and be moved by them. You are great and You want great things for us, and You have designed us to do great things for You. Lead us. Lead me.
